The Kings Select Justin Auger With The 103rd Pick Of The 2013 NHL Draft

The Kings have to be used to the waiting game by now, right? The Kings last selected at number 37 overall had to wait a total of 66 picks before the Kings could select again.None the less, with the 103rd pick in the 2013 NHL Draft the Los Angeles Kings selected right-winger, Justin Auger of the Guelph Storm.

Auger is coming out of his second year with the Storm in the Ontario Hockey League. Auger scored 16 goals and recorded 33 points in 68 games played last season, a total that is nearly 20 points higher than his total in ’11-’12 where he grabbed 14 points in 58 games played.

The 19-year-old has a big frame and stands a towering 6 feet 7 inches over the ground and weighs in at 223 pounds, so one thing is for certain, his body is probably NHL ready. Auger is also on Twitter so after you give us a follow, make sure to follow him as well.

Here are some of Auger’s highlights.

The Kings still have plenty of work to do today and have six more picks remaining. Make sure to follow Rink Royalty on Twitter and Facebook for more updates. Check back tomorrow for more coverage on Auger and the rest of the Kings’ draft day action.
