The Kings’ top priority was sort of given this summer. Everyone knew the Kings needed to get Slava Voynov to agree to a contract extension and that contract had to be signed before anything else could be settled this summer. Now that Dean Lombardi has locked up Voynov for the next six years he has more work to do.

Now there are a total of ten players that will need new contracts this summer. However, you can probably take Jonathan Bernier out of that equation since it seems all but certain that he will be shipped out of Los Angeles via a trade any time now. You can scratch Rob Scuderi as well because there just isn’t enough money to go around after Voynov’s deal.

So that leaves a total of eight players that are set to become free agents on July 5th, Kyle Clifford, Trevor Lewis, Jordan Nolan, Alec Martinex, Keaton Ellerby and Jake Muzzin are set to become restricted free agents, while Dustin Penner and Brad Richardson will become unrestricted free agents.

Also coming into the mix is Dustin Brown, who will become an unrestricted free agent next summer, but there has been reports that say the Kings will work on getting him a new contract during the next couple of months.

So that brings up the question, who is next to extend his time in Hollywood? Will it be a big name like Brown or Penner, or will it be a depth player like Nolan or Ellerby? Hell, could it even be Bernier or Scuderi coming out of no where and signing a new one? We will have to wait and see, but for now vote below and sound off in the comments section, or on our Facebook or Twitter page.

We’ll even let you pick your top two choices to help your odds a little bit.
