Kings Cup Crusades #1Slovenia

As the summer winds down, so does the time members of the Los Angeles Kings have with the Stanley Cup. So let’s look back and highlight some of the finer moments players have spent with the cup. Obviously the Cup is a dignified world traveler, so I have decided to start with it’s first trip to Slovenia! I am a sucker for a guy who loves his mom, I am an even bigger sucker for one who loves his grandma, Anze Kopitar I see you! One of the most touching moments thus far, was when Kopitar brought the Cup to his grandmothers gravesite. When you play hockey your whole life you gain a deep respect for the hockey moms around the world, and this was a great tribute to a very well deserving hockey mom!

The Cup also took in a few of the sites, Kopitar took the Cup to the top of Castle Bled, which is the oldest castle in Slovenia. If you did not see the pictures of Kopitar at the castle I suggest you visit google, because it is BEAUTIFUL. The castle over looks Lake Bled, another hotspot the Cup was spotted on.

Slovenia definitely enjoyed the time with Kopitar and the Cup, this clip shows just how much fun the Slovenians had with the Cup.

I will be counting down my top 5 favorites from the summer, so let me know what you think. Zing me if you think I chose wrong!
