It’s the morning after the Los Angeles Kings traded Jack Johnson and a 1st Round Pick to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Jeff Carter and it feels fine. Jack has always showed desire and faith in the franchise and, of course, his love for the game and the Country go without passing,

Insert Jeff Carter.

On behalf of all Los Angels Kings fans, I welcome you to a club whose pedagogy is still up in the air. They are still looking to be taken seriously, not only in the NHL, but also in all of sports. They are a goal-scoring starved team, but defensively sound (forget the past two games) and have their feet pressed to the metal with a couple screws loose.

Here’s to you Jeff Carter.

You have 25 points (15G, 10A) in 39 games this season carried over from the Columbus Blue Jackets. Your familiarity with Mike Richards bodes well for potential scoring numbers and I hope the pressure put on you from staff and fans won’t lead you to binge drink. If so, I hope you douse your woes in victory champagne. We need wins.
