News & Notes: Kings Center Anze Kopitar will return to the line up, after leaving the game against the Stars on Tuesday for “precautionary reasons.” The Kings are 5-1-4 in the last 10 games and 6-1-4 under coach Darryl Sutter. The Kings had killed 42 consecutive penalties before allowing a power play goal to the Dallas Stars on Tuesday.

News & Notes: The Flames re-acquired former Kings forward Michael Cammalleri from Montreal on Tuesday. He will likely have to change numbers for the first time in his career because Center Olli Jokinen wears #13. The Flames are 5-4-1 in the last 10 games. Despite a terrible road record, the Flames have the best home record in the Northwest division (13-5-2).

Matchup Thoughts: In order for the Los Angeles Kings to get a win on the road, they will need to continue to play with the same intensity as Tuesdays game versus the Stars. They will need to remain discipline and tighten up defensively to beat one of the best home record teams in the NHL, things they failed to do against the Stars on Tuesday. Fans in Calgary will be pumped up to see newly re-acquired and former LA King, Michael Cammalleri, as he brings his services back to the Flames. The Kings will need to get off to a good start in a building that they have not done well in the past few years, possessing a ‘bend-but-don’t-break’ mentality in order to get two points.
