Marco Sturm Claimed

So long Sturm, it was nice knowing you. Well… not so much nice as fine. It was fine knowing you. I harbor no animosity toward Sturm, nor the circumstances in which he came to town. To be sure I was hopeful that his appearance would help spark our offense out of the dumps, and that did not happen. It was a disappointing time in Los Angeles for Sturm, and frankly I think even Sturm would agree. Unfortunately that time is now at an end. He was placed on waivers and claimed by Washington this morning.

According to Rich Hammond, the Kings will line up with Brad Richardson taking Sturms spot on the top line for the game tonight. He’s not exactly an offensive power, but then neither was Sturm. Either way, good luck to Sturm, hope he does well with Washington. As I’ve said before, I have no bad feelings toward Sturm, only wish it would have worked out well for all involved.

What do you think? Will he be missed in Los Angeles?
