Andrei Loktionov has been demoted to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, where he will get some more regular playing time, and continue to develop his offensive instincts. In appearing in twelve games during his most recent stint in Los Angeles, Loktionov netted three goals and two assists, a respectable amount for the 20-year old, but far from setting the world on fire.
With Marco Sturm getting ready to return to the line-up, and since Loktionov is one of the very few Kings roster players who can be demoted to Manchester without having to clear waivers, he was a likely candidate for demotion.
What do you think? Good move? Think they should have demoted somebody else?
